Egon said it best: “Print is dead!”
No one wants to make enemies of people who buy ink by the barrel, but we don’t need no stinkin’ ink! The established publishing cartels aren’t doing us any favors. They don’t read our stuff properly, they send out ding letters by the millions, they publish pretty girls who write about their feelings and let agents do their heavy lifting. The result is that they overlook whole cities full of good writers.
That’s not going to work anymore. They don’t run things anymore. We run things. Want to run them with us?
