About the Writers Federation

The Writers Federation does not own the writings presented here, nor does it make any claims as to the ownership or provenance of the writings. We exist solely to showcase authors and writers heretofore unknown, or little known, who wish to become better known and appreciated for their gifts and efforts. We operate under a principle known as "good faith" and cannot be held responsible for verifying each and every piece of writing found here, which in any case would be impossible. The writings are owned by the actual writers. When writers and readers sign up for accounts here, they aver that they are the sole legal owners and producers of the content they may provide, and also aver that if they are not, then they agree to be held solely responsible and may be charged with intellectual property theft under penalty of whatever copyright, trademark and intellectual property laws that may exist locally, nationally, and internationally and that their account immediately becomes forfeit. They can also expect that their reputations and standings will become hopelessly tarnished. When presented with proof of any such theft, The Writers Federation will turn over to the actual, verifiable authors or prosecuting authorities any writing, proof of identity, or any other evidence required to prosecute said crimes. Why? Because whoever wrote it, owns it, and that is who we sympathise with. We are not in the business of sheltering plagiarists or thieves. We stand foursquare with real writers.
