I consider myself to be an individual who constantly strives to progress throughout the duration of life with a profound sense of integrity, honesty, and sincerity. My origins derive from a multi-racial background which consists of a German, Irish, and Arab bloodline. I was born in the United States and I am proud to designate Minnesota as my home state. There have been drastic complications to my life since the earliest beginnings of my childhood. I experienced a divorce at the age of seven, lived between two different households throughout my teenage years, witnessed the permanent departure of my mother to the Middle East, and experienced the loss of my father at the age of nineteen. These events have seasoned me as an individual and will continue to do so.
As a result, I have every interest to contribute positive influences and changes which work for the betterment of humanity and rest of the world at large. Since my high school years, I have been very active in the facilitation of student organizations. One of my most prominent experiences arrived in the form of the Beyond Border Club (BBC). Granted, the name of the after school group was not original (I borrowed the name from an ESL teacher at the time), but the overall outreach of the theme had achieved a considerable impact on the student body. In addition, the orientation was invested in a different manner, the predecessor focused primarily on cultural affairs while the latter observed numerous issues consuming the international community. The name may seem to be rather self-explanatory, but the main aspiration of the group sought to bring the reality and seriousness of the international community to average suburbanite high school students.
I began to realize that teenagers who comfortably reside in the suburbs do not usually express an interest in connecting with the rest of the outside world. This was the case for most of the students who had attended my respective high school (Lakeville North Senior High School). My aim sought to provide the student body with a chance to escape their sheltered community bubble and to address issues that merit a considerable degree of attention. I wanted to prove that events which partake on the opposite end of the Earth have the ability to impact the overall quality of life right in our own backyard. In addition, attention was diverted towards enhancing the student body’s appreciation for cultural diversification.
At an early age, I began to realize that the world is becoming an increasingly smaller place. The mediums that have provided instantaneous communication have bestowed great interactive power among our fellow man. No longer are we isolated from the traditional barriers that had once separated us in the past. Therefore, I personally believe that we must make every effort to harness this resource and not allow it to go to waste. I am committed to utilizing these resources to bring humanity closer together for the sake of advancing causes of peace, sovereign diversification, and the betterment of the human condition.
As deep as these aspirations may seem, I believe that each and every individual on the face of this planet must make an effort to set their sights high and aim to conquer the depths of our known galaxy. We never know what tomorrow will bring for us which means life is what we make out of it and our intrapersonal attitudes testify to such a personalized disposition. At the moment, I am working as a freelancing language tutor throughout the general Twin Cities area. I have gone to extensive efforts to create a new grassroots organization within the same area known as: Voices of Intellectual Independence (VII). Above all, I always strive to keep myself preoccupied with productive and or constructive engagements. I look forward to meeting additional writers who share the same philosophy. At the end, I feel that writing presents us with an intellectual medium which does not only change the course of the future, but provides invaluable depths of intrapersonal inspiration.
